Best budget paintwork

Just got a 2nd hand car,and while the exterior looks clean, it kinda lacks shine and protection. With dry weather expected next week, what's a quick and effective way to boost the paintwork without doing a full detail? Just looking for the best result i can get outdoors with only a bit of time and budget.

just wanna say that you absolutely cannot go wrong with a spray wax or ceramic spray coating
wash it thoroughly first, then just spray on and wipe off
it's shockingly easy, gives great shine, and adds decent protection, especially for dry weather. My go to for a quick outdoor job!

I'd also recommend getting a good quality spray wax or sealant.
They're super easy to apply just like what @GlassesBro89 said - wash the car, spray on, and wipe off with a microfiber towel.
You'll get noticeable gloss and some decent water beading without breaking the bank or spending hours!
Top on my list are Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax, Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating and Chemical Guys Blazin' Banana Carnauba Spray Wax.

Quickest route I'd go for is a wash followed by a spray sealant or hybrid detailer something like Turtle Wax Seal & Shine or Meguiar's hybrid ceramic detailer, You can apply it outdoors, even in partial shade, and it'll give you nice gloss, your head is in the game @OCdizzy

+1 on Turtle wax. That thing brings back the chine like nothing else. I would recommend a proper wash and preferably a clay bar as it helps get even the toughest contaminations.
